- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 28 oz can Crushed San Marzano tomatoes
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- freshly cracked pepper
- Heat oil in a saucepan. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the crushed tomatoes and 1/4 cup of water and cook, mashing up the bigger bits of tomatoes with a fork. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes or until as thick as you prefer. To use for pizza sauce, simmer until the sauce is very thick.
