Za’atar Pizza (Manakeesh)

My favorite brand of Zatar is Salloum Bros (see photo below).  To make your own see recipe here.


  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of za’atar
  • 12 inch bread or dough
  • Toppings: Sliced tomatoes, fresh mint


  1. Preheat oven to 350-F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil and za’atar.
  3. Spread the za’atar evenly over the crust.
  4. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until the bread is starting to brown.
  5. Top with fresh tomato slices and mint.
